My Thoughts On Last Nights Criminal Minds Ep
This is what I posted to one of the criminal minds email lists I'm on about last nights ep.
Okay, I didn't get off work until midnight so I just now got done watching the end of the episode.
Here are my complete thoughts on the ep.
I knew from the beginning that there was something up with the 'super hot' guy. And to be honest, I find Garcia completely beautiful. But my question is, who the hell lets some stranger play with their computer? Not in real life, or at least not me. No matter what problems I was having.
About the unsub. I definitely think that this guy was made up of a few real serial killers. I started thinking it from the very very beginning of the ep. When the Doctor was telling them NOT to release the guy from the institution it reminded me of a serial killer I read about that as a minor killed his Grandparents, I believe the kid was 14. He was released into the care of his equally (well, probably not equally but near as) sadistic mother. He later murdered many women, including his mother (and he did some NASTY things to her body...) and his mothers best friend. It's been said many times in things that I've watched and read that this guy should have been kept in the institution he was in after the killing of his grandparents.
Then, the part at the end when he had been feeding the girl to the searchers, there was a guy in...Austria I believe, he would pick up little boys at the bus station and take them home and do some pretty icky stuff to them. He then butchered them, and not in the "That guy butchered that girl" kind of way, in the "I'm going to the butcher to get some meat" kind of way. He sold the boys clothes and the meat in a vendor stand at the market. Even gave the bones and meat to people in the apartment complex that he lived in. One person even took the meat the the police, questioning what it was, because it just didn't seem right. They concluded it was pork.
On the whole, shooting of Garcia thing. I was a HUGE West Wing fan, and they pulled a shooting also in the show. It worked really well for the show at the time. But, I'm a little worried, due to the fact that they've already done a main character getting all...screwed up by some unsub thing. And, just so all know, I had a very strong reaction tonight. I must have said "Oh, My, God" a million times in like 5 minutes!
Personaly, I can't believe Garcia didn't use all she knows to find out about this guy before going out with him. Seeing what she's seen, I'd of done it. Whether it's legal or not. I think I'd call it a 'job hazard' or something along those lines.
So, those are my thoughts.
Oh! And I'm a big Reid fan, it's because of him I continued to watch the show after the first ep. About halfway through I realized he was only in two scenes, and they were small. 3 total I believe in the ep. I think that he could have offered a LOT more than what they gave him this ep.
And had I been Morgan, I'd be so so SO much more than pissed at Rossi for the whole Priest thing. That wasn't very team like, and was truly quite sneaky. Where's the trust???

I can't wait until next Wed. My boss (who's also a big fan) called me at 9:05 tonight (I'm in central time) at work and asked "Are you recording CM!!??" Thank the gods for my DVR!!!
