I just got back from the CASA/GAL breakfast, and it was very cool. The stories were enough to make me want to cry, and I really want to be a Guardian Ad Litem. I'm going to apply. I can be an attorney-advocate and doctoral student. At least I can use my law degree in some helpful way while I go to school.
I decided that I am not going to my 10. If I do, I will get my third parking ticket for no reg stickers. I am getting them in the mail today - my dad overnighted them. My mom apparently left them on the TV under some stuff when they came... so, no more tickets, and they BETTER let me out of these! It isn't my fault it took the BMV that long to send them - and I still had my UNEXPIRED temp tags on display too! Grrr!
I have plans for my tuba quartet - I want to do outreach at schools, etc. I was told I should apply for an Ohio Arts Council grant once I have the show together. I'm going to use multimedia with the music (running Powerpoint on my PowerBook), and then we'll have our own little show! Since the other two members (so far) of the quartet are freshmen in college, they have access to other musicians who will hopefully have connections to get us another more mature player. (Not that these two aren't good - but experience is good too!)
I'm going to do some yoga, make some lunch (when the time comes), go to my 1 and to brass choir at 2, and then I really AM going to the Gorge today. Yesterday I never made it no thanks to some sickness. Yeah, that's over.
Off to relax for a few!
