Frustration! An outrage!

I spoke with sensei today, and she said that even though I'm doing excellent in class second year just isn't enough to progress on to a higher level class in college. Thus, I am likely going to have to start all over. For shame!

And as if that wasn't disappointing enough, I'm only taking one term at PCC, and then switching over to PSU, so I'll probably have to start all over A THIRD TIME! Why? Because according to sensei who knows both teachers, the courses are very different. PCC likes to take things kind of slow, where as PSU is faster. It's possible that the students in the next class up would know more than me because of the intensity of the course.

It's a hard place to be in for sure. I'm going for a bachelor of arts first before moving on to my masters, and I have to reach a certain level of a foreign language before PSU will grant me that degree. The fact that I'll have to take the very beginning course not once, not twice, but possibly three times is quite frustrating. As Jennifer so kindly pointed out "you'll know the fundamentals way better than everyone else!" BUT I DON'T CARE!

Maybe I could strike a deal with the PSU counselor or something. For example, maybe if I do some independent study outside of my PCC Japanese studies and then take an admission test I'd be able to continue my regular Japanese studies without having to start all over again. *le sigh* I don't know what I'm going to do.

WHY DID I ALLOW MY PARENTS TO BE SO LAZY?! WHAAAAAAAA!
