Summary: Kamenashi Kazuya, 24 years old is living his simple life with his family. Ahead of him is his childhood best friend Akanishi Jin, Japan’s top star but Jin doesn’t even recognize him after how many years of separation. And now, their paths will cross again, how will he make Jin remember him and what’s the reason behind Jin forgetting him?
A/N: My first attempt of making a Yaoi one. Hohoho.xD Hope you’ll like it. :] The story is inspired from the song entitled YOU ARE THE ONE. :] Maybe you should listen to it; it’s a nice song after all.
CHAPTER 16
After being released from the hospital, Jin immediately went to Kimoto-san, the doctor whom he begged of removing his childhood memories.
“Kimoto-san!” Jin knocked twice and opened the door revealing himself from the old man sitting and sipping his coffee and smiled as he saw him. “Kimoto-san.”
Kimoto-san placed his cup of coffee on the table and motioned Jin to sit, “Akanishi-kun, what’s the problem?” he asked with a tone of i-know-what-your-problem-is.
“Why?” Jin started, “You told me, it won’t come back? But why all of a sudden? Now that, I’m starting to love him.”
“You have always loved him even we took away your past. It’s just the memory we took away not your heart.” Kimoto said, “And we told you that if someone that special to you comes along there is a greater possibility of you regaining back what we took away during those days.”
“But why didn’t you tell me that Kame is one important person in my life and that he’ll cause this?”
“If we told you then it’s pointless for us that we removed your memory since if we are going to tell you that the guy plays an incredible role in your life, you’ll definitely want to know who he is and what his role is, am I right?”
“Then, do take away all of my memories! All. Don’t even leave a single thread of my memory - take it all away that even my name I won’t remember!”
“Don’t you think it’s time for you to face reality that you abandoned for six years?” Kimoto said staring deeply into Jin’s eyes as if telling him that he needs to face it or he’ll have to hide forever in the dark because of the darkest and scariest truth.
“I..I don’t think I can. I can’t tell him that my father was the person who killed his father and I don’t even fucking know why my father did it.” Jin answered.
Kimoto smiled and sipped his coffee, “So, you haven’t remember everything yet.” He mumbled.
Jin looked at him confused, “You mean there is something that I haven’t known yet? And you mean that it is the reason why he did that thing?”
Kimoto nodded, “You’re right but you have to find it in your own, Akanishi-kun and after you have come to know the reason, come and see me if you needed to and then face him, face Kamenashi Kazuya and his family.”
Jin nodded and left. After he left a man that has been hiding in one of the secret doors inside Kimoto’s office stepped out of his hiding place after hearing the conversation and Jin’s departure.
“He is still a strong-willed man.” He said referring to Jin.
Kimoto nodded, “Just like his father, right Akanishi-san?”
The man he addressed as Akanishi-san smiled with a trace of guilt and sincere sorry.
…
“Ne, Okaasan..” Koji started while helping his mom in the kitchen works, “Why did you invite that guy during your birthday?” he asked.
Mrs. Kamenashi stopped chopping and looked at her older son, “Does it still hurt you seeing his son?” his mom asked gently.
Koji nodded, “Somehow it does but still I try to remember dad’s last words before he died. To forgive them because they have their own special reasons of doing such things.” He replied.
“Do you remember his special reason of doing that thing?” Mrs. Kamenashi asked remembering the night that the person responsible for her husband’s death came up to her and admitted his crimes and told her the reason - the special reason why he did that and she understands it.
Koji nodded, “I do but is it really okay for us to hide it from Ka-kun?” he asked knowing that they decided not to tell a word about it to Kame.
“He’ll understand it if the day comes he’ll have to know the truth.”
“I see.”

Meanwhile in the KAT-TUN’s room, Jin just arrived and overheard the conversation between Kame and the other members.
“We’re sorry to hear that.” Koki said.
“It’s okay. It has been a long time since that incident and I know my father is happy above.” Kame said. “Ahh~ Today is my father’s seventh death anniversary, we’ll have a small gathering and pay a visit to his tomb, you can go if you want to.”
“Let’s go!” Junno raised his arm, “I mean since we are Kame-chan’s friend and we have known his mother and brother, let’s pay a visit to his father too.”
“Hmm~ That’s a good idea. We’ll go with you Kame.” Maru said.
Jin entered the room as if he hadn’t heard of anything and tries his best to act normally just like before but seriously he failed in the eyes of Kame. Kame knows him well that even if he pretends he’s okay, still the younger one knows something is wrong.
“Akanishi, you’re weird today.” Kame said after observing Jin nonstop. “What’s bothering you?” he asked.
Jin who was in the middle of his acts on Nakamaru stopped and so as the others who are laughing watching Nakamaru and stared at Kame who is reading a book, “What are you talking about?” Jin asked as he stood up and stopped pinning Nakamaru on the floor. “I’m fine. I have no problems at all.” He assured.
“If you say so.” Kame said, “I won’t insist.” He changed the topic of him inviting Jin on his father’s death anniversary too, “Wanna come? Everyone will come.”
“I..I can’t. Sorry.” Jin declined the offer and made up an excuse. “I’ll have to drive Reio to where his stage play is.” He said and everyone was convinced.
Jin excused himself of going home early but the truth is he visited the jail again. Now he knows why it seems like the men are hiding him the truth.
“OHH~ What brings you here again?” Hiroto asked seeing Jin but took note of his facial expressions it isn’t just like before, “Missing us?”
“I’m going to ask you the same question again; WHERE.IS.MY.FATHER?” Jin asked his eyes set in fire and so is his voice.
“So you already know who the guy was.” Takasugi said, “I’m sorry but seriously we don’t know where your father is hiding, we don’t have any idea about his whereabouts.”
“Takasugi,” Hiroto started and tapped Takasugi’s shoulder, “Stop lying. Tell him already, I’m tired of seeing this brat’s face.”
Jin raised his brow, “So I was right all along that you know where he is.” He said and waited for Takasugi to tell him where his father is.
“Just like what I said awhile ago, I don’t know where he is.” He said but quickly added, “but all I know is that he was picked up by a man and then he lives with him as his servant but the man is good enough and treated him as a friend and so he has become somehow the man’s best friend or something like that.” Takasugi finished.
“Do you know who the man was?” he asked.
“We don’t know.” Takasugi answered.
“All I know is that the man is a wealthy one.” Hiroto answered, “And has a quite a reputation.”
Jin left and is about to start his mission on searching where his father is and to know the truth that hasn’t come back yet.
