Summary: Kamenashi Kazuya, 24 years old is living his simple life with his family. Ahead of him is his childhood best friend Akanishi Jin, Japan’s top star but Jin doesn’t even recognize him after how many years of separation. And now, their paths will cross again, how will he make Jin remember him and what’s the reason behind Jin forgetting him?
A/N: My first attempt of making a Yaoi one. Hohoho.xD Hope you’ll like it. :] The story is inspired from the song entitled YOU ARE THE ONE. :] Maybe you should listen to it; it’s a nice song after all.
CHAPTER 14
“Happy Birthday to you~ Happy Birthday to you~”
The song went on happily with the guests and the family clapping their hands to the beat of the song.
“Make your wish now, okaa-san.” Kame said as soon as the song ended. Mother smiled and closed her eyes making her own private wish and blew the candles and everyone clapped their hands.
Everyone got their foods aside for KAT-TUN who waits for Jin’s arrival in the balcony and their getting irritated with Jin’s unconsciousness of time.
“Jin is late.” Koki whined as he sat on the rocking chair that is present inside the balcony.
Just a few moments and Jin arrived, “Sorry I’m late!” he apologized as he panted carrying a huge box wrapped neatly for Kame’s mother.
Junno stood up and stand beside Jin placing his arm around Jin’s shoulder, “You’ll make a bad impression because you’re late. Kame-chan’s mother might not like you as her son’s husband.” Junno said making Kame blushed.
Junno left the poor Jin losing his energy slowly by what he just mentioned and so he stomped his feet. “Okaa-san will not accept me as Kame’s lover then?” he mumbled and pouted and looked at Kame who is trying his best not to laugh, “Kame if that’s the case, I’ll steal you away, okay? And then we’ll live far away from them and then you’ll be pregnant and stay inside the house taking care of our 12 babies and then Papa Jin will work hard and -“
“And you should get inside and give your present to my mom.” Kame cut Jin’s illusion, he just can’t take the part of him being pregnant and bearing 12 babies, what the hell is Jin thinking?
“I’m nervous what if Okaa-san won’t accept me just like this Taguchi said awhile ago, Kame?!!!” Jin said stomping his feet nonstop.
“Why do you think are you here?” Kame asked, “It’s my mom’s birthday not what you’re thinking of and she’s not your mom.” Kame said.
Jin pouted, “Sooner or later, she’ll be my mom too since you’re going to be my wife.” Jin said receiving a whack from the entire member.
Jin turned around to face the four who whacked him hardly and they are looking at Kame, no someone behind Kame and so did Jin realize who it was, “AH! Onii-san!” Jin said waving at Kame’s brother.
“Onii-san?” the brother repeated questioningly.
The four quickly covered it up, “Hai~ We call each other’s older brother or sister as Onii-san and Onee-chan and for the mother, Okaasan and father, Otousan. Ne, Kame-chan?” Ueda said and the Koki, Maru and Junno nodded.
Kame looked confused, “H..hai. That’s right.” He answered and faced his brother smiling.
Jin along with Kame get inside the house and Kame lead him to his mother, “Okaa-san, Jin’s here to greet you.” He called his mother who is chatting with her friends.
Jin greeted, “Happy Birthday.” and handed his gift. “Here, I hope you’ll like it.”
Mrs. Kamenashi thanked him and got the huge box that Jin gave, “Thank you so much.”
“AH~ So this is him, your son’s playmate.” One of Kame’s mother said looking at Jin.
“HUH?” Jin asked confusedly. “What do you mean?” he turned to look at Kame and gave him an unknowingly look.
When Jin wasn’t looking at all, Kame turned to look at his mom and his mom got it and then the two left and Kame helped Jin getting food to eat.

They eat and eat and eat and chat and chat and chat until they get tired. Jin who isn’t just eating and chatting and also examining the house and the people around especially the mother and the brother felt that he have known them for a long time and add the fact the words that the friend of Kame’s mom said son’s playmate. What does it mean?
“Itte!” Jin groaned touching his forehead as a pain strike again. The others turned their attention to Jin and asked him if he’s okay, “I’m fine. I need to use the rest room.” Jin said and Kame brought him to the rest room.
When he went back, Junno pulled him away from the others, “What?” Kame asked worriedly
Junno scanned the area to make sure no one but them is in the area. He faced Kame and took out something in his pocket and handed it to Kame, “Are you Jin’s childhood best friend?” he asked Kame.
Kame smiled unhappily, “How did you find this picture?” he asked him.
“I was checking every photo albums I see and I saw that hidden.”
Kame nodded, “I am and he had forgotten about me - about our friendship - our love.” Kame said looking at the picture of them when they are still 17 and young, a picture they took during Jin’s birthday.
“Forgotten?” Junno verified.
Kame nodded and told him how Jin changed and forgotten about him and how Jin’s present attitude towards him is like or more than that of the past but still he has a feeling that Jin doesn’t remember him and that it has something to do with what happened in LA.
“Wait, you mentioned awhile ago about love?” Junno asked again, “by any chance do you mean that you love each other more than friends? As in lovers?”
Kame nodded, “I suppose or maybe I’m the only one seeing it in that way. Did the way of how you look at me and Jin changed?” Kame asked worriedly, afraid that Junno will treat them differently from now on.
“Suge~!!!!!!! Boys love!!!” Junno exclaimed and put his hands on Kame’s shoulder, “Gambatte! I’ll help you!!”
Kame answered hesitantly, “Arigatou..?”
And so a promise between Kame and Junno was formed, to keep it a secret until the day Jin will remember Kame and in that case, they need to find out what happened to Jin that cause him to forget someone very important in his life - Kame.
