Plague of Flies
Great new album called “Plague Songs” it’s a collection of songs that a British art coalition commissioned written by some incredible artist, and all the songs are about the ten plagues, a song for each one. It’s pretty awesome…some of the artists are Rufus Wainwright and Brian Eno, that says it all.

Heard Avril Lavine covering The Scientist by Coldplay. Absolute trash. I’m fairly confident that anyone who thinks she contributes anything positive to an artistic community should be removed from society.
I’m so sick of hear all this ‘mall punk’ and r&b fusion bull shit. Does anyone know when exactly the music industry started relying so heavily on the influence of lonely middle age women and eighth graders? I’ve noticed, and this isn’t only with music, a pretty dramatic decline in creativity and over all reasoning for creating. I keep meeting actors and musicians who do what they do for applause and recognition. Who knows, maybe I’m cynical but I really feel you shouldn’t BE ALLOWED to create if you can not intelligently describe your need, desire, point, etc. People would say that makes me some sort of elitist or more likely a pompous ass hole, but I don’t think so. I just hate seeing what I do destroyed, demeaned, and disrespected by people who haven’t had a semi intelligent thought since…well never. Look I don’t even care if they are any good at what they do. I couldn’t give a shit if you or me are as talented as Tom Hanks, but at least I feel that I’ve made some legitimate reasoning for myself, some justification for what I want to accomplish and that’s enough.
Oh and that applies to politics as well. Oddly enough I have been obsessed with a talk radio station called ‘the truth’ (104.1) and let me tell you I have never listened to this many ignorant, misguided, bull head people in my life. These people are like the old fire and brimstone ministers, you know? They’re all a bunch of ugly Bill O’Riley clones. Unfortuanlly for the world, they feed thousands of people complete bull shit and those people go out and vote. On that note, if I hear one more fucking ‘intellectual hipster’ tell me how the system is fascist and they don’t vote because really what does it matter, I’m going to lose it. Those idiots are sadly more to blame for the way things are now then the ignorant people voting. I hate them for that.
The Office some how manages to be the funniest and most touching show on television episode after episode. I wanna do that.
Key word for tonight’s blog: INTELLIGENCE. Really, I think enough is enough; America needs to figure it out.
