There's so much to update about...I have a lot of energy right and I wanna provide an elaborate update, but I'm gonna go run around outside soon, so here's your nutshell:
Twig and I left for Portland on the 5th, got there in pretty much 24 hours including a pit stop in Bakersfield where we got a free pizza and very lost. Saw Molly and Joe when we got into town, and then picked up Briton from work where we met each other on the street and the did the whole cheesy "run towards each other with open arms and jump in his arms" type of dealy. Way cute, I must. There were a few "aaaaahs" that I heard around us, haha. Left for the Oregon Country Fair that same night, which was in Eugene. LOVED THE COUNTRY FAIR. We camped with hundreds of hippies, swam naked in the lake with each other every morning, went to the country fair during the daytime where we: heard awesome bands, mostly jug bands with washboards, washtub basses, accordians, saws, fiddle, kazoo, etc...., played music obtained $60, two bars of soap, a food voucher, and two bars of Belgian dark chocolate, talked jibberish with a man in a loin cloth, ate yummy vegetarian food, ran around barefoot. Chilled during the night time with beer, pot, shrooms, keef, and cigs. Absolutely loved everything, Twig and I are going back every year. Met all of Briton's family, played music for his grandmother in the hospital, dumpster dove in the wonderful Portland New Seasons dumpsters, and then left to hang out with Ben in San Fran after about four days in beautiful, beautiful Oregon. On the way there, got a call from Kristin's stepdad, pulled over to soak everything in (didn't work), poured out a bottle of Fat Tire for her (she always did that in memory of people she loved who had passed on), and then decided to drive to San Fran anyway to see if Ben would want to ride with us to the funeral. We arrived at his house at 1:30 in the morning, and he slept through our knocking. Booked it down to Phoenix, turned our car into a sauna along the way, made it to the memorial just in time. Went to the reception afterward, and then passed out at Twig. Left for Flag the next morning, and that's where I am now. Everything's been pretty cool here, dumpster diving for everything, sleeping at new friend Kevins' place, meeting new people, fun times. But today!!! Today, Twig and I woke up this morning to wake up Kevin's neighbor Destry, cool hippie guy we met a couple nights ago, rode on his motorcycle to the Little America truckstop and then HITCH HIKED to Oak Creek. It was amazing!! We did it!! And it only took us two rides each way, it was so easy and fun!! We got dropped off at Slide Rock and hiked a bit down the highway to a cool place to hike down to the creek...found some yummy wild blackberries along the way...and then found the perfect swimming hole!! The three of us all stripped naked and jumped in and it was so cold and so fun and we drew all over ourselves with indian clay. I heart hitch hiking.
I don't really want to talk about Kristin on here, I'll go on for ever and ever...I just miss her a lot, and I feel her precense very strongly and I will always love her.
