As of last Friday I have officially finished my university education with the handing in (by Steph) of my last assessment (which Kristie did...well all the website side of things which was worth 15%). It hasn’t really sunk in yet because I still need to worry about finding a job for next year. I’m applying for Good Samaritan Catholic High School which is only about 15 mins from my house, but it hasn’t got the best rep...ah well beggars can’t be choosers. I really need to get a job lined up prior to leaving the country for 2 months in November as school starts up again late January.
Today I tutored in the morning but came home to start editing the first 5 minutes of a podcast that stepha1 and I are starting. With a less than desirable level of audience participation (
darenothope ) we managed to get one of our topics off to a reasonably good start. I guess it could be considered somewhat controversial......or some might say vulgar and stupid....i’ll let you be the judge.
We still need a name for the podcast; something catchy and concise. So far we have:
- Steph and Alyssa’s ‘anything goes’ half hour
- Anything and Everything with Steph and Alyssa
And that’s it......suggestions leslie? Perhaps you can make up for being unco-operative as our first phone caller?? Maybe you can come over tomorrow some time too and redo your segment? After uni?
I’m too lazy to get up and away from computer but I want to finish reading my book, ‘Deep Water’ by Pamela Freeman. It’s the second of three from ‘The Casting Trilogy’ which I’m enjoying a fair bit actually, but they are so detailed I really need to re-read them. I don’t know what to read next....maybe Harry Potter....I haven’t read them since Deathly Hallows came out, but again I should probably read one of the 20 or so books I have bought but not read yet rather than reading a book series ive already read countless times. I suppose I could read 2 books at once seeing how I already know what happens with Harry. I might read a Jane Austen seeing how I’ll be going to Bath!!!!!! So pumped even though she herself wasn’t particularly fond of it. I’m getting so excited about my 2 month UK jaunt, just not so excited about the falling Australian dollar which last time I saw it was 38.9 pence for $1 Aussie dollar.........shite! Once you pay the conversion fees and what not it works out nearly 3 times as expensive.....crappy Aussie dollar....not fair having such a small and insignificant economy and being totally isolated....sigh.
On a less depressing not, this week I will fulfil my godmother duties to my cousin Oscar which I am excited about! I heard on the grapevine that my other cousin “had hopes” of being his Godmother because Oscar’s father was her Godfather....pffft he’s also my godfather too and I’m older so screw her, lol. You can’t be a 16 year old godmother...It will be interesting to see if there will be any tension at the Christening... those cousins do have a bit of a chip on their shoulder, always thinking they’re hard done by....not my fault they both left in yr 10 and now poor job skills. ..Anyway a bit off track there
