So many things have happen to me in the last couple of weeks! CRAZYNESS!

--> I got my driver's license, insurance and car!

--> I started school...again.

--> My community college hours just went in so I am OFFICIALLY a college SENIOR!

--> It's sorta looking like I can graduate December '11 without killing myself!

--> Tomorrow, I'll be 21 years old!

--> AND sometime soon I'll start my new job teaching voice lessons at the local high school!!!!

Just excitement and blessings all over the place.

* I am stressing over this one class that I have to get a letter from my department to get into.
* I am soooo stressed about driving....it's stressful but I'm managing.
* I'm really worried about my choir audition because I didn't do so well.

Being stress and happy is a strange combo. Just saying.

ANYWAY, here are my pictures from the Goo Goo Dolls/ Switchfoot Concert that was last Sunday!

My ticket! Look at the price! It was a steal. :)

Switchfoot performing! (And if you see the guy sitting by himself to the right, that is Josh Jenkins the lead singer from the opening band, Green River Ordinance. :) He did say he was a fan.)

Chad and Tim are hilarious. They thought I was adorable because I said, "Ya'll are amazing" very Texan. Then Chad wanted to show us his "smile that would make Texas grandparents proud!" :)

ME, meeting Jon Foreman, the lead singer from SWITCHFOOT! OMG!!! I can't even tell you how awesome this was. I've been listening to them for like 6 years!

He asked my name and shook my hand. Then, I took a moment to tell him something that I've been thinking about for a while. I told him that their song, The Blues had a huge effect on me after my grandmother died, and it helped me cope with the loss. I can't tell you what this song means to me. I tried not to tear up to much but I couldn't help it. He looked gob smacked for a second then told me it really meant a lot to him to hear that and the song means a lot to him too. Then he smiled and reached out his hand for a second time and shook it but held onto me for a second. I thank him again. Seriously, Jon and the whole band were so amazing.

Signed fan.

Signed Cd for $10 dollars. :)

The Blues

Is there nothing left now?
Nothing left to sing
Are there any left to haven't kiss the enemy?
Is this the New Year or just another desperation?

Just as I could find you, do the wicked never lose?
Is there any honest song to sing besides these blues?

And nothing is okay
Till the world caves in

This song is so desperate but calm. My grandmother passed away on New Year's eve. There is no one that I can't hear this song and think of that night. Fireworks going off in the background and hearing grandma had died at the hospital after less then a week. And my parents not letting us be there or telling us till after the fact. I know death isn't pretty but I wish I could have been there with her. But as a Christian, I know she's in a better place and that we'll meet again. So I'm here on this earth till I die or "till the world caves in"....

about to cry, places: huntsvillle, real life, photos, rambling, im feeling great today, dare you to move, personal entry, music, epic without the fail, band: switchfoot, exclamation point
