Raise Your Hopeful Voice....You Have A Choice
* This week has been so stressful. Especially, since I was the only one who didn't sing "pop" style before. It was hard work but it was fun.
One of the guys that saw us audition works at Carl Fischer music and he wants me to be a demo artist. Meaning that I would sing choral parts in the studio and then teachers all over the WORLD would hear it when picking music for their choirs.
MY FIRST REAL GIG!
* I didn't win the $300 dollars.
My friend Bree and this guy named Nic both won. They each wrote their own song and during the workshop we combined the two. We all sang it and did back up vocals. It's so moving. Bree and I do a lot together like opera and jazz choir. She's not great at classical music...but she's amazing at this style. I can't being to tell you how happy I am for her.
I don't know if ya'll can see this if you don't have a facebook but here if a video of our last concert. Bree it the blonde singing the words. Lol. I'm next to the tall black guy on the end. I'm singing tenor!
* The producer, Gary, actually cried when he announced the winner because he said he loved us all so much. He also said that he loved us to much that WE ARE ALL RECORDING THE SINGLE TOGETHER.
We are all going to a studio in Austin and getting the star treatment!!!
I'm gonna get to work in a studio!
* After the event we went to his parents home because they actually live in our small town. They live in a converted school house! It's amazing. The living room is an auditorium and has a tiny stage complete with piano and sound system. So after singing all night we sang all morning too. Lol.
My friend Maria and I love his parents. So we asked him if maybe it was cool if we all came and visited them every once in a while. He was so excited about it. I can't wait till our next jam session.
