Life update and request for recs
Recently come to my attention that I had not informed my flist of something pretty important about my life atm.
On 22 December 2009, whilst driving home from work, I skidded (due to the bad weather - snow and ice on the road; which had not been gritted AT ALL btw!) on a dual carriageway, going up the embankment separating the lanes. Basically, I was in a car accident.
The damage was thus:
Drivers side wheel is ruined entirely, the tire puntured by a slim woden post
the win mirror on my side has disappeared
the bumper came off
the drivers side wing is dented
the bonnet was somewhat dented
Although absolutely terrifying personally, no-one else was involved, and I am not seriously hurt. I just thought you may wish to be made aware.
The car was 10 years old, and so economically it is unlikely to be worth repairing. As such, I am awaqiting a call confirming it will be written off, after which I will be forwarded a nominal sum for the worth of the car. HOWEVER, although I only work about 13 miles away, its not easily accessible via public transport; a walk, 2 trains and another walk which would total about 2 hrs each way rather than my usual 20-30 minutes.
As such, I have been hunting for a new car, and therefore decided I would go all out: dipping into my savings, I have finally bought myself the car I wanted A NISSAN MICRA! I pick it up thursday!!
Although I bemoan the loss of my first baby Russell, I'm so chuffed about finally having am micra!
Concerning recs.....
basically, I was hoping my loving flist would be willing to recommend their fav hug fics.
I'm basically loking for fics in ANY of my pairings of choice which involve the pairing in question being affectionate; PDA, hug, cuddling WHATEVER.
