WIPs
No idea if anyone recalls this, but I made a New Years Resolution to finish my WIPS
Well, I'm not talking ALL of them, as some of them are proper ABANDONED, but there are a few in the specific:
Namely, TBF for starters.
That has a reasonably drafted plotline for a large portion of the remainder.
I even have a bulk of the scenes drafted.
However, in the last chapter I 'published' here, Clark was staying over for the weekend, and I'm seriously struggling actually writing what HAPPENS over that weekend.
I also need to write a few Lana scenes - and I HATE LANA; I really don't feel like I write her well.
I also need to bring Lois into the dtory somehow, as she is an integral part of the plot later in the story, but HOW is a bit vague atm.
And THEN theres the pairing itself; I mean, I've cited it as CLex-fic, and it is! But they're not together yet and its like over 30 pages just so far! Thats without adding the later scenes I have already drafted! I seem to be dragging out the pre-slash bit, and am struggling with the actual getting-em-together bit!!!
And THEN, theres my Scrubs JD/Cox fic.
After TbF, I swore I would not put another fic up here unfinished, so I haven't put this up.
BUT, it's called The One After Ben Died which is pretty self-explanatory. I mean, its pretty AU from that point on, but I do make several canonical references to the episode of and just after Ben's death.
I've written a few shortish JD/Cox fics (2007 December prompts mostly - kinda wish I'd done that again this year!), but this is probably the one I'm most proud of, so of course the fact that its incomplete is really bugging me!
I'm really pleased with the characterisation; some of the lines I've got them coming out with...I just feel like I've really got their voices down (not to sound conceited or anything!)
But I'm MAJORLY blocked. It's still @ pre-slash stage (@ over 20 pgs!) and I have NO IDEA how to get to the slash!!!
AND THEN theres LoM.
I've had SO MUCH WONDERFUL help from several ppl @ the LoM community I'm a member of, but this fic (Writing For Release) is also not getting 'published' until its finished. And thats even bigger @ 33 pgs!! In spite of the wonderful help. I'm still blocked, and STILL @ the pre=slash stage! It just baffles me!!!
HOUSE
I no longer really watch this (as with SV), but I do still have the odd fic I attempt to tinker with.
Firstly, there is may as of yet still unnamed AU med-school fic, which I DID put up in its current state on the house_wilson community, but have nevertheless tried so hard to continue, so as of yet no avail, AND still @ pre-slash!!!
There's also Feelin' Hot, which was originally a drabble, but which I started to expand into a short fic.
I know exactly what I WANT to write: House goes into work in LEATHER PANTS.
everyones reaction. Especially Cuddy & the Ducklings.
HOWEVER, ends with Wilson kissing House.
Uncertain as to where they currently stand romantically. Not even sure if they'll kiss in front of the others, but such a little fic should not be this hard!!
and FINALLY to turn full circle, is my SV futurefic.
I've had quite alot of assistance with this also (almost as much as TbF, which I have had a great deal of absolutely fantabulous assistance wiv, btw), what with people even helping me create characters as prospective wives!!It just become far too big a story for me. I mean, I haven't even managed to title it still!!!
I DO have 2 Spanders that are WiPs, but its been so long since I wrote in that fandom....and I've totally forgotten the lineof 'Xander, and...and Spike?!...might as well be abandoned.
It's just MADDENING!!!!!
I mean, I even DREAM about them! I keep dreaming that one day I'll wake up, turn on my laptop & find that all my WiPs are completed!!
I just wish it were true.
