I have so much work to do this week. It almost makes me sick. Plus side: I have a new bird named Einstein. He has orange cheeks and is adorable.

I really dislike hate it when I’m not completely, 100% sure of everything. In November of grade 10 I had my MUN handbook come in the mail. I had my mind set on going to MUN. I had the next 15 years ( Read more... )

*waves* Hello. First, speaking from experience, making decisions is a pain in the ass, and I have a tendency of avoiding them as much as possible. Second, ok, well, I have no experience with U of T, as we have a tendency to make fun of them given we're rival universities, but it does have a fantastic medical/science program. Look it up in MacLean’s university rankings. It's like number one or two in Canada or something.

And I've just got to say that I've never heard it called "Canada's Harvard," given that St. Francis Xavier is number one in Canada right now, and has been so for the last five or six years, if memory serves me.

Anyhow. The leaving Newfoundland bit.

Sometimes, the bottom line is, you just can't get what you want where you are. MUN is great, sure. But if you're craving something different and something a little above average, then my advice is to go out there and try it. I walked blindly into a life in Ontario, and I absolutely love it. No one could pay me enough money to actually go back and live, full time, in Newfoundland. I miss it, or parts of it more so, along with specific people, but I'm a city girl, A REAL CITY GIRL, and I think you are too. Or I always did anyhow, and I believe I might've told you that at some point.

Conversely, the tuition is pretty steep. So you might want to cover all aspects before you actually make a final decision. I'm barely scraping by this semester.

Most importantly, do what makes you happy, because in the end it's going to be all that matters anyhow.
