My schedule is finally easing up, due in large to the holiday happening this week, so I figured I'd update a little. Nothing shocking, or new has happened lately. I've spent most of this term cramming for tests, and writing shitty papers a few hours before they're due. I'm taking Business Marketing (BA 317) and we had a group paper/project, about Ovaltine, that I voluntarily edited, only to find that one of my group mates literally copied and pasted her paper from two articles--one of which is not a real article, and can be found
here, and the other featured the words colour, favourite, and mum. I ended up rewriting her section and reaming her out in the group evaluation. One upside to this whole group project is the presentation portion. We are modeling a game show after The Price is Right, and I get to make a tee shirt that says, "I'm an Oval-Teen!"
The Board has been interesting. I was elected the House Committee Chair and I think we've accomplished quite a bit in the last eight weeks. The Cultural Forum has been low-key. We're having a condom fashion show for World Aids Day, and I built a blue and white condom bikini. Two co-workers from the CF may be sexing, or soon-to-be sexing, so there's a sense of tension when they're both at work.
We've going to pick up Andy's grandma from the airport tomorrow, and she'll be sleeping over tomorrow night. Then we're all going to Florence to have food at Andy's Dad's house. I have been trying to figure out what to cook for dinner tomorrow night. All we've come up with is roasted chicken with some green beans and salad. I have no idea what old people eat. There are days that we have popcorn for dinner.
Anyway, we have our health. Neither Andy, or I have work over Winter Break, so I'll be practicing building multi-tiered wedding cakes with fondant, and free to do whatever else. I would like to go ice skating at some point if anyone is interested. I would also like to mention that there are less than three months until my long awaited 21st!
Have a Happy Thanksgiving all!
