So, I'm posting while at work, which is totally not okay with my bosses, but they're both elsewhere. MUAHAHA, I'm so bad. ;) Anyway, I just wanted to post about the Living End/No Doubt/Blink-182 show at the Tweeter Center that I went to on Sunday night. My generous pal Scott punknews had free tix (worth 45 bucks each) and invited me along. It was definitely worth the $0 I paid. ;) But seriously, the Living End was pretty good - they definitely had a lot of energy, and I recognized a few songs that Jon has played for me. No Doubt put on an awesome show and they definitely had the best set. They even played some good oldies like Just a Girl and Spider Web. I enjoyed those thoroughly, it reminded me of middle school. Blink-182 wasn't too impressive. The bass was turned up WAY too loud and it drowned out everything else. Tom and Mark made some mistakes, and Travis outplayed everyone. They also burped and made lots of sophomoric comments. :P So, it was not too exciting, except for the purty lights and the few oldies (i.e. Dammit) that they played. The best part was just being outside in the beautiful weather (but out of the sun, under the pavillion) the whole time. Scott and I also enjoyed the pre-Blink entertainment. You could text message a number and your message showed up on the giant screens on either side of the stage. We each did like 3, but either we didn't see them or they didn't get put up. However, I saw my last one go up and it was way exciting, haha. It definitely kept us unbored between sets. Thanks, Scott, you rock! :D Anyhoo, that's all you get for now - enjoy!
