So, my roomate and I have been fighting. Actually, she's the only one who has the problem- with me. And, I had no idea. One night, she flipped on me, and told me that she had a problem with me because I'm negative. Actually, her words were that my behavior had "negative energy," and it affects her so much that she is unhappy here because of me. I told her that I understand that she feels that way, but that I don't agree with her at all. And I don't agree because this is the girl that came home the other week in such a furious mood, ranting and raving about how can people be so angry, all because there was a guy frowning on the train. Right. Enough said. So, I told her that what she has been perceiving as negative is probably the fact that in the last 2 months: I've moved to New York City, been away from home for the first time in my life, had a $4,000 credit card bill, had a hard time meeting people in the city, gotten a job, and studied at the most competitive design school in the country. I think I am allowed a fair amount of stress for that. I tried to explain to her that it's stress, and that it's not personal at all. After trying to explain this to her for an hour, unsuccessfully, I finally tell her that it's her problem, and not mine. And so she's moving out. So she says. I don't know where she's going to get a $2,000 deposit, and another $4,000 for two months rent upfront, and another $18,000 in a bank account to prove that she can pay for the apartment throughout the contract period. Oh well, that is also her problem. In light of all this, we're not speaking.

On a lighter note, the NYC marathon is coming up, and I'm excited. It's on Sunday, and I'm going to photograph it for my Dad's Christmas present. And, the other night, my friend Luanda and I went to this bar and I hustled all these boys at pool. It was SO funny. They were shit-talking me, and I beat them ALL. I also downloaded some Phil Collins from iTunes, and also some Sting. I miss the 80's....

Peace.
