March is nearing its end...

Wow, it's been 9 weeks according to this site since I've made a post. I've posted a little bit on myspace, but not really an update. So...that's what this is going to be. Yay. If no one reads this, (or nobody reads this anymore) that's fine because I've decided I need to start doing entries and updates again...the good ol' memory is not what it used to be anymore and doing this, from time to time, helps.

Okay, so where to begin...
Well I suppose I'll just say that as far as school is concerned I'm still doing well, or so it seems. I was invited to join Phi Theta Kappa for my fall semester grades, and will be inducted April 27th so I'll have to maintain pretty above decent grades. As nerdy as it may be, I'm kind of excited about it, and may even consider becoming an officer because they get to travel. And, if anyone remembers from high school, one of the things I loved about being a part of newspaper was the opportunity to travel. Even if the trip isn't far I liked having the chance to meet ppl from all over and stay at fancy smancy hotels I couldn't afford on my own. We'll see what happens with that, and if nothing else at least I increase my chances of scholarships, and when grad school rolls around, should it, I may have just that many more doors opened.
As worried as I was at the beginning of this semester, I'm just ready for it to be over and not as worried about the workload...I am pretty proud of myself for not letting things get too crazy and even with the "partying," still get done what needs to get done (well mostly, a few things here and there may have suffered a little bit). I still have about 2 more semesters after this one and possibly take a course over the summer (summer II). Something simple like...one of those computer courses, I am required to take :o/ And it'll be nice when they're over knowing I have "something" under my belt.

Socially, I've had the chance to hang out with some friends I used to not really see too often, like Whitney and it's been pretty fun and enjoyable. One friend, Gareth who I've known since 7th grade has moved to Equador, so that was a bit surprising but it was cool to spend some time with him before he left and it's great that he is doing the things he wants to do with his life. I think on some levels I've probably grown a bit closer to a handful of people as well, and that's nice. But at the same time with school and me being the good little student that I am I don't always hangout as much as I wish I sometimes could, or I just need those breaks after the school week concludes. Over the last couple of months I've probably been drinking a bit more than I should, but I'm working on it, or at least being as responsible with it as I can be. Heh. And it's not really becoming a problem as it's becoming too common a social activity I engage in...but we'll see how that goes as time goes on.

Physically, since I've started exercising for PE, and taking it seriously, I've gained about 8 lbs (which I've been trying to do for a while). I'm pretty happy about it.

Hmm, I'm looking forward to the summer, I won't get into the details right now...but I guess, just a note that something really exciting and significant is supposed to be happening then.

Some people probably heard or read about me losing my cell phone, that was a real pain in the ass for a couple of days but there were a few benefits to it..as strange as that might seem. I do have a new phone again, and the same number so I'm glad about that.

Soo, yeah even with a few minor shortcomings, or stresses I would have to say that life for me is still running smoothly. Probably a few things I wish were different or better, but overall things are still staying along that pleasant path I've been determined not to let myself stray from. And I guess that about concludes it.
