The place itself hadn't been hard to find. Winchesters were usually pretty easy to track, generally speaking -- they stuck out like a sore thumb. Between Dean being covered in angel dust and Sam's demon blood, it was like a giant neon sign that was telling every demon within a hundred miles to either run far far away, or go in for the kill

Until that traitorous bitch Ruby had to come and screw everything up. Maintaining his cover as long as he could, he used Anna's tactical skills to his advantage, sliding in and twisting Ruby's arms behind her back before all but throwing her against the nearest wall as if to arrest her. "What the hell is your problem?"

"Anna, let go of her!" Sam shouted, trying to push them apart.

"And I had a damn good reason too," Ruby replied, rolling her eyes slightly before, pushing back from the wall and slamming a kick to Anna's midsection. "Christo, you cross-dressing bastard."
And yes, she felt a little gross saying that herself. But the boys probably weren't going to believe her otherwise.

"No, wait..." he reached into his pocket, grabbing his flask. "Something's wrong here. Ruby wouldn't hurt Anna unless... it wasn't her."

"Oh, shut it." But good boy, Sammy. She knew she trained him well. "And Lamia, please, you gonna keep playing around?" Oh yes, she just used his real name. "You really think that Sam's going to trust that face over me?"
But if Dean wanted his hard proof -- well, she'd wait to see how this round ended up.

But he was still more on Ruby's side. She hadn't let him down in the last few months, and she could find a demon better than either Winchester brother.
A hand went on her shoulder as he kept her back. There was a lot of people watching them now. "Come on, let's go somewhere with less people and figure this out.

This could get ugly and she was really the only one who knew how to use it.
Dean just glared at her, which was par for the course, really, and then started leading Anna outside. "Let's just take this somewhere quieter."
"After you, shortbus," she said with a nod, as Dean lead Anna towards the door and Ruby followed his lead, slipping her knife into the waistband behind her back.

"Now why don't we talk like civilized adults and you tell us just who this Lamia is and why you think she's Anna?"

She wasn't going to kill Anna. She knew the boys cared about the body. But she could give them a little God's honest proof if the old ways weren't working.
She lashed out before Sam could react, grabbing Lamia by the hair and pulling him back against her, throat exposed. She saw the fear flash in Dean's eyes as her knife went right for the throat, but she didn't move in for the kill. She just pressed the blade as close as she could, waiting for the telltale flicker of red and gold to show the demon's presence.

"I'm hardly impressed, Winchesters. I've been in this meatsack for two weeks now and no one suspected a thing. She really was the perfect body to take..." Lamia began running Anna's hands down her body, smirking at Dean.
"Oh, Dean if only you could hear the things she had to say the night we -- indulged in carnal sin -- how she cried out for you, begging you to see that it was me and not her." He shook his head, clicking his tongue. "You learned nothing from my brother Azazael. Shame."

"Ouch," Ruby said dryly as she pushed herself to her feet. "That kind of hurt. Didn't your mother ever tell you not to hit a girl -- oh wait, my bad. You never had one."

"What was your purpose in doing this?" Sam asked, his face twitching as he fought to keep control.

Anna's eyes returned to their normal green briefly enough for her to choke out - "Sam, stop it. Don't- Uriel and Castiel-- they'll kill you. Use the knife, Sam. I'm okay with dying."
