This Thursday, I will act this out.

He walks along the sidewalk, the one that leads away from his class, and winds down somewhere between the business building and the future. It's unusually cold today, those cold fronts just come out of nowhere, but it is always nice to wear a hoodie, he tells himself. Tony, hardly the everyman's everyman, more like the skew in the bell curve, the empathy in the system of life; has decided that today, class will not be attended by him, but rather by everyone else. He usually keeps his head down, and avoids eye contact, (you'll never know who you won't want to see is a favorite saying of his) but today he sees her from far away and decides it's a good idea to share some words. She wears dark eye liner, but bright eye shadow, is she supposed to do that? Who cares? I like it, he thinks to himself, as she makes her way closer to him. She finally makes eye contact, pushing her red bangs to the side, and before he can even mutter a simple, "hello" she says to him, "I don't want to go to class, let's do something else." His mind suddenly races with the opportunities they might have within an entire day of fun. He can think of nothing better to do. So many different things can be done in the span of a day, and today we'll see how far we can get. He should go to class. Everyone says the same thing, but forget that, he's interested in doing something worthwhile. "Alright, well let's see what Alex is up to and we'll go from there." He says, as she slides her arm around his. "I'm game. Let's do it." The hot one he nurses at his side is brought up for a brief moment, just long enough for the smoke to rush into his blood stream. He exhales slowly from his nose, feeling every second the smoke lingers in his lungs. He quickens his pace, and she follows matching his gate. As he gets further and further away from class, his ipod dictating his rhythm, his anxiety leaves to some remote, exotic location. In one motion, he removes the ipod's ivory finger from his ear and autodials alex, maybe today we can get that free cookie at Pei Wei.
