Ah, time for another set of caps from Trainer. This time, the first season's second episode titled 'All I Need is One Good Horse'.
I've tried to do a bit of a summary of the ep, but it's very sketchy, so don't expect much. Still, viewing caps of David in this series is a real pleasure, in my opinion. I hope you enjoy them, too.

John Grey, English gentleman, player of horses, and behind-the-scenes Mover and Shaker.

John's out for a drive in his lovely automobile.

7
But what in the world has he got in his car?

9
It's the sign for his friend, Mike, the young trainer who has just opened his own stable. John also acts as Mike's mentor; he's a good friend, but it also doesn't hurt if one of Mike's horses wins at the track. Best to be practical, what?

There's a lovely soiree for the opening of Mike's stable, and there is John, rubbing elbows with horse owners and doing his genteel behind-the-scenes thing for his young friend.

And, I might add, looking very good in the process.

Yes, I'd look, too, if I were you, madam. That's one gorgeous man beside you!

Like many a man of any station, John likes to spend time at the local, where he often runs into Mike. Much of his mentoring seems to take place here.

Although they seem to run into one another on the street...

... as well as, at times, in a nice establishment while John is having dinner with a lady friend.

Mike has been set a particular challenge by an owner of setting to rights a horse which was thought to have great promise, but which is not performing as expected. He shares the situation with John, naturally.
41
42
Interestingly, the horse has been determined to have a serious hearing problem which is impacting his training. He's demonstrated he can run with the best of them, if he just gets a nice startle from very loud music, though.
43
44
45
Of course, this is an interesting problem which John turns over in his mind.

49
One night shortly before the race the horse has been entered into, John, performing his usual subtle moving and shaking, motors out to the practice field with a group from the stable.
50
51
52
He gets out of the car and stands waiting, a sly smile on his face. But for what?
53
Whatever it is, it's big and has very bright lights!
54
Lol! Somehow, it's been arranged that a truck with a huge sound system will be present at the field for the horse's next run. That should get his attention and induce him to put on his best burst of speed!
55
John, along with the owners, arrives to watch the practice run the next morning.

61
The experiment goes very, very well.
62
63
The owner of the horse enthuses to John that his horse has a real chance of winning, if ridden properly.
64
65
The day of the big race arrives, and John and others from the stable are in the stands, rooting for the horse. This will be a feather in Mike's cap as a trainer if the horse wins.
66
67
68
69
And things look really good for much of the race! The horse is out in front.
70
But then he just seems to run out of steam. Doesn't make sense, that, and is very disappointing.
71
72
Still, he has shown he can run, so all is not lost. And, like all races, win some, lose some.
