Trainer - Season 1 episode 1: A Racing Certainty...

My dear friend lothithil lent me her Trainer collection, and of course, the first thing I did upon watching the very first episode was to start collecting screencaptures of David in this 1991-1992 BBC series. Now, David is not a major character, exactly, in this series, though I have loth's word he does appear frequently, and IMDb says he appears in 23 of 23 episodes. He also gets nice billing. So, I figure this is worth some cappage, right? And if I'm going to cap, I'm going to share - with loth's permission, of course.

I'm afraid I can't tell you much about the series, or even David's character, just yet... I do know it's about a trainer of race horses, Mike, and that he knows David's character, John Grey. I know John seems to enjoy gambling, in the local casino and at the race track. And I know he seems to have a fine sense of honor and fairness, as he is the one who makes certain, in this first ep, that Mike doesn't take the fall for something someone else does that results in a horse losing a race when he had a clear shot at victory. But, I really can't do a summary such as I generally do for Colditz or MfU eps.

I also know that the color on the DVD is hinky, and that I simply have neither the time, energy nor talent to correct it very well on several of these caps. So you will see David aka John appear with all sorts of variations in skin tone, suit color, etc., lol. But, we take what we can get, eh?

So here, without further embellishment or explanation, are caps from the very first episode of Trainer, 'A Racing Certainty'.
