Walls! I want waaaaaaallllllss!
They took away our cubicle walls today. :(
We're getting newer, nicer walls, but in the mean time, there are no walls. It's creepy. I'm one of 3 people in >600 sq. ft. of space right now but as they piled all our stuff in the middle of where our cubilces were, I barely have room to pull out my chair & there is crap all over both of the desks I use. I'm messy at home, but except for a little paper piling I tend to be almost anally neat in the office so this is getting to me big time.
Also, not only am I missing a door at home, I'm missing walls at work. These seem like such simple things. And they would make me so, so happy.
On the plus side they finally posted the notice for my job & apparently we're going through the interview process in a few weeks so my nervous level about my continuing job has gone down.
Hopefully the new walls will be worth all the fuss. Although by the time they go up I'll probably just be happy to have anything there. My available surface area is so greatly decreased.
