Eeeeeee, spiders, spiders!

There are legends of great spiders, our foremothers in forgotten days, who could feast on light itself, and sit glutted, sated, belching shadow and spinning it into webs.
Aw, spider bedtime stories! *shudder*

I don't know why I like the Mirkwood spiders so much, seeing as how they freaked me out badly when I was younger. But I do!

I think maybe I'll repost my spider drabble on Halloween day!

*nods* The spiders creeped me out a bit when I read The Hobbit as a kid... but they don't get a whole lot of attention in fic, do they?
