- I haven't done much but work and work out, so last night was fun. Hanging out with Ruther and Millie (and her date Peej) was something we haven't done in a long time. I suppose we could call ourselves the Greenhills Triumvirate, seeing as that place holds a lot of funny memories. And M's date gets a positive rating from me -- he wasn't awkward with us being all loud and laughing, he can initiate conversations, wasn't all shy and mumbly, and drinks tea. He even recommended me the FIRST EVER TEA I liked. Starbucks' mint tea was faboo; now I have something else to get from there other than their macchiato (the only coffee that wakes me up).
- I've only been working out for a week, but boy, I feel and see the effects. Still have some ways to go since I'm still five pounds off my pre-vacation weight (and I want to lose another five in addition to that) but I don't look bulgy in my clothes anymore. Wooo. And the cute barista at Starbucks last night actually hit on me -- he asked if I wanted honey for tea and I was 'yes, please' and he went 'can I apply?' To which I went 'huh?' because my brain wasn't working too well after working 16 hours then having just five hours of sleep.
- Dad's in the hospital; he had some major headachey things going and so they went to the ER and got themselves admitted -- all while I was just a floor above in my area working my 16 hours off! It was freaking busy so I could only spare two minutes, I didn't even know what tests and stuff they did, not until last night when I got a chance to go through his chart. Heh, perks of working in the hospital. Anyhows, he has cervical spondylosis and they're recommending rehabilitative therapy, which has been suggested over and over but my dad wasn't good at keeping up with the visits. :P Still awaiting for discharge, but OMG, I am so mean that I'm glad that because of this we don't have to spend the entire day at the cemetery.
- I got a new phone! It's the MotoRAZR2 V8. Pretty sleek, and as usual, the surgical residents are all over it. They all have Motorola phones and we all joke around about having superior ones than those with Nokia phones (Nokia's the phone of choice here in the Philippines). Heh.
- Also had some minor freaking out late last week over some guy, but not in the way you think. Said boy's expressing interest, sending text messages and all those "have you had dinner? you should go eat, it's late" type of stuff, and while most girls get all 'aww, he's concerned how sweet!' over it, I was all frowny and icked out and pshh about it. And I freaked out over that because I felt abnormal. Had an emergency conversation with gay friend Alo and he was "that's actually good you're not being all giggly about it, that's just stupid". Heh. I told a few of my co-workers about it and one of them was just "it's because you think too independently". And it's a good point, because I hate being told what to do, to go eat, to take a rest, because FUCK OFF I KNOW WHEN I WANT TO DO THOSE.
- Anyone seen the Wanted (James McAvoy, Angelina Jolie, Morgan Freeman) trailer? mellafe I'm looking at you. James gets all assassin like, toting guns and all that! It's another usual Angie action movie, but it looks like it'll be some nice, mindless fun. Plus, James McAvoy. No one needs to say anymore. XD
- Lord, I need to stop hoarding on episodes of Avatar (The Last Airbender) and actually watch them. Speaking of which, I need to see if the second episode of Yukan Club has been subbed. The blonde guy is cracking me up hardcore with his vanity.
