This week was spent on hospital special areas (ICU, Recovery Room, Dialysis Unit, ER) and I loved it, primarily because we weren't required to study the action of drugs, or the pathophysiology of diseases. The Dialysis Unit bored me to death though, because all we did was take the blood pressure of patients every 30 minutes.
The day started wet and dreary, and we were assigned to the ER, where I thought we'd die of boredome yet again. Thank heavens I was with Dan, my gay friend, who's well, happy and gay most of the time, providing the much needed laughs and giggles to pass the time. But it's even better when there's a cute guy around, because well, what happens when a gay and a cute guy get in a room together anyway? Of course, professionalism had to be kept, so yeah.
Small incentives, such as working with cute guys (I'm incredibly thankful more and more men are taking up this dreaded course) and happy and gay gays (haha), make the work bearable. Honestly, every ward in the hospital should have one, then maybe I'd be more willing to drag my butt off early every morning just to get to the hospital before 7 AM.
Anyway, enough of the trivial stuff. I just came online to update the blend challenge site and upload a Katie Holmes wallpaper. I'm trying to fill up the wallpaper actress section, it's so bare.
Sunday tomorrow, and most get up early again. Ho-hum.
