Oh wait -- I have an LJ?
Not that I haven't been forgetting, but my laptop is still deady dead. :( IBM sent us a service adapter that I could use while waiting for them to ship in the new one we ordered, but after a few minutes of working properly and even charging my laptop battery, I noticed that I was running on batteries again (I was a little distracted from watching Grey's Anatomy :D). Now I'm not really sure if the service adapter was faulty to begin with, but I'm scared -- is there some sort of...er, 'technical ailment' that my laptop suffers from that could cause adapters to fluke out and die?
Work-wise, I got a commendation from one of the patients I handled. The hospital president awarded me a certificate during the annual meeting with the president in front of the people. Quite embarassing, standing there not knowing what to do with your hands and such, but pleasing all the same, since I needed that recognition. See, my mum is a nurse supervisor in the hospital and some people may talk about how I only got in because my mum works there, so this is a good proof that I really deserve to be part of the health team.
Hmm, what else? Ooh, I got a haircut! It's actually weird, because when I walked out of the salon, my hair was as straight as can be, no trace of the curls that I had from the perm I had 4 months ago. I thought they had cut it all out, since most of my curls were at the end of my hair. I even had an appointment set to get another perm, but pushed it a few days from yesterday (when I got my haircut) to see if I'll like having straight hair again.
So now I woke up today, took a shower and when my hair dried? I looked like THIS. It still looks good, I think. :D
BTW, I took a picture of frostedpopcorn with her new haircut because I wanted something like hers. Hee.
Now that a new haircut is out of the way, I now need:
- a new layout
- new icon collection
Then I'll move to redecorating the room!
I also took the plunge and ordered The Chronicles of Narnia Extended Edition from Amazon. The last email I got was that it was already shipped out, so now I'm just waiting for it to get to our shores and for the post office to send me a notification about it. I'm actually excited! :D
Oh, also? I heard that the cards and little packages I sent still hasn't gotten into the hands of the people I sent them to. The post is CRUMMY. I HATE THEM. What, are they waiting for December of 2007?! GRR. If anyone of you actually had already received something, tell me, okay? :)

I'm sorry if that ruined your layouts, but that is my godson wearing the shirt I gave him for Christmas! :D Hee. He's adorable.
