Brain waves distort the unyielding images
in my mind
While I get trapped in an inescapable
way of things
Smile for reasons almost entirely
ridiculous
Happiness pokes and prods at my heart without
proper entrance
Questioning choices that have yet to
be made true
So many words claw at my teeth in hopes
of freedom
I stay strong pushing down those which would
change my life
Foolish maybe but such comfort in my
selfish pain
Why linger on this even if it could
make me real
Soreness of body and mind as I simply
just give up
Such a pity
Such is pretty
