Happily Ever After

Well, it's finally all over: my little brother is married. It was a seriously long day, starting at 6 am for me, so I could meet the rest of the bridal party for breakfast at 7 and start to get our hair done at 8. I've actually never had my hair all done up in curls in a soft tumbled pile on top of my head, and that's what I had done this morning... with hair down past my waist, that was no easy or brief process, and even though the hair dresser had been warned about my very long hair, I still don't think she quite knew what she was getting into. When I got home, it took about half an hour to find and remove the 30+ bobby pins holding each curl in place, in addition to several applications of super hold and shine hair spray product. While it may look like a soft tumble of curls, that pile on top of my head was going absolutely nowhere.
Overall, it was a very lovely wedding, and all of the freaking work we put into the preparations was very worth it. There were a lot of moments where people got choked up, and everyone laughed a lot. The ceremony was a little too full of God-fearing for me, but it didn't take too long, which was good since I had the honor of holding both my own bouquet as well as the Maid of Honor's through the ceremony, and they were not light to begin with, and had been well watered before the ceremony. The Receptions (there were two...) went on until about 8pm, and then I had to hang around and help clean up, so I didn't get home until 9ish... and now I can relax!

For now my time is mostly my own for a little while. I do have some impending projects, but nothing I have to start on immediately. So I get to catch up on WoW-ing, and hopefully get a little more social time in soon, though I say that after a very eventful party at trilobites and annodomini's new residence last weekend, and a sex toy party (like a tupperware party, only... not quite the same) a few nights ago. I still miss hanging out with people, and I haven't done it nearly enough in the past few months.

And now I go to bed...
