I recently got in touch with an old friend from college. Reid Fujimori. Reid is from Hawaii and was in a couple of the same clubs I was in during our Boulderite days. I lost contact with him when he graduated, and found out he went back to Hawaii after grad school. We've been emailing back and forth about his many adventures in the tropics. I do NOT feel sorry that he has to spend his days tanning, swimming, coaching canoe classes in the ocean, checking out museums and enjoying the amazing weather. Anyways, Mr. Fujimori is coming back to CO (although I don't know why he would want to leave paradise?!) in two weeks. He's staying with a friend in Boulder and looking for employment in his field, physical therapy. He may leave CO if employment finds him out east...aka Boston.
I was suprisingly amused to find this email when I came in this morning....
Krystal,
Sorry no new stories for you this time. I wanted to e-mail because a spontaneous idea just popped into my head (and that doesn't happen very often). I did the math and I come back to CO in mid-Feb. And that falls around a certain commercialized Hallmark holiday. Last I checked, we're both free-birds. So I would like to humbly ask you if you would give me the honor of being your Valentine. Ha, ha. Isn't this like high school all over again. I thought it would be fun to celebrate this Hallmark holiday with a dinner or something. Doesn't that sound like fun? Tell me what ya think.
Reid the island boy
ALOHA
I have returned his email and accepted the Hallmark date. I couldn't think of a better way to celebrate a holiday I usually skip.
