Scrapbook update...

My weekend trip to see the sis was wonderful. It was everything I needed and more. Great food, company and conversation.

As I landed I called Miss Neri to see where she was. My flight was delayed by an hour and the poor thing was waiting for me at the airport. I came to find out that she had occupied her time by hitting up a bar and flirting with some guy...classic! By the time I found her on curbside waiting for my sis to pick us up she was pretty buzzed. The giggling was endless...contagious to say the least. As if on cue, my sis arrived to pick us up and whisked us away to her air conditioned new home. We ate her homemade eggrolls and drank two huge bottle of Muscato and champagne.

We woke up the next morning and supposedly we were going to leave at 9:30AM...yea right! We left at 11 instead and made it into Manhattan by lunchtime. Neri kept on pointing to buildings asking if that was NYC...you have to understand that she has never been there before. "No Neri...that's Newark...not NYC. lol" Rico still wasn't off of work yet so we decided to kill time by grabbing lunch at this cute little Greek cafe near his place.

We wandered around Rico and Antonio's Greek neighborhood and walked through all the little markets, shops and booths. We also grabbed some fresh fruit! YUM! Finally Mr. Lazo called to let us know he was getting off the train and walking towards his place. The girls and I decided to wait by Sheryl's car since she got this sweet parking spot next to the building. On the way to the car we decided that Rico should get something for being such a gracious host...

Behold...a single minature rose that we picked from a bush around the corner...keke

We hung out with Rico and waited for the other Lazo twin to show up. He was on a flight out of town that evening, but we couldn't pass up the opportunity to take yet more photos. The four of us haven't been in one place in 3 years!!!

You know we couldn't keep it that serious too long right?! Antonio is the one on the right...to think this is the face of a man about to go into surgery bright and early Monday morning.

Rico decided to take the girls out for dinner. I think it took us a good hour or more to figure out where we all wanted to go! In the end we decided on an Asian fusion restaurant. I don't even remember the name of it? Sis? We took the train into town and hit up those tempting poles inside the subway car! haha Hey...we were the only ones in the car and why the heck not?!?!

Pedro was hard to get a hold of...we thought that his girl was running him late, but we later came to find out he had left his phone at her place. To kill time we all decided to walk around Times Square and of course...take more pics!!!

Finally Pedro called to let us know he was on his way to pick us up on the corner of 47th and 7th. We crammed into his little car and arrived at the restaurant...at 12AM! lol We feasted on salt and pepper shrimp, Thai mahi mahi, some other fish wrapped in banana leaves and chicken skewers.

"Say Huevos Rancheros!!!" LMAO (insert inside joke)

We left in search of a club to hit up and ended up at a place called "Earth". I was a bit skeptic at first, but it was awesome! There was something playing for everyone's musical preference. We danced all night to hip hop, R&B, classic rock, trance/house and a bit of reggaton! I think we had more people laughing at how silly we were acting than anything else...we were all dancing like no one was watching! It was great to get on the floor and get down with the running man, sprinkler and booty shake like no tomorrow!

Grabbin' our J Ho!

You should have seen all the people that kept on cracking up to this one! ;D

One last shot before we leave the club!

Now for the drunken shots on the ride home...

Neri wanted to go somewhere else afterwards...but Rico and Mr. Squishy said "No" (insert Rico's baby voice! LMAO)

The next day Rico took Neri down to her dorm at Columbia...she's going to be in a medical program internship for 6 weeks! How I will miss my J Ho! :*(

The sis and I ended our NYC excursion by meeting up with the infamous leeka and lissie719 for brunch.

Mirror images across the tables...;D It was lovely to meet these two...so kind and sweet. I hope this isn't the last of our luncheons!

The sis and I decided to drive back to her place for the night before my departure. We stayed up late chatting and even watched one of our old movies! I had already packed all my stuff so it was a quick morning at the house and off to the airport we were...
We sat in the car talking about random ish and finally I hugged her goodbye. We're attempting* to work another visit in a couple months. Right sis...*hint* *hint* *nudge* *shove* ;D

The End.
