So I've been a bad girl. I really haven't been updating in here at all lately. I do glance over some people's journals still from time to time, I just don't have time for much lately.
Work has been hectic, but hey, that means I'm needed and my job is secure.
School has been a load this semester. It's fine on regular weeks, but it always seems that my teachers want to give me tests all in the same week, so I find myself bogged down with studying those weeks and it stresses me a little. All in all though, I'm still maintaining my 4.0GPA, so I'm doing something right.
I've been debating back and forth between moving out into my own place or not. My options are basically:
1. Get a second job and move out, having a place I am rarely at.
2. Move out with just my one job and make it, but live close to paycheck to paycheck. After all, I refuse to live in anything that is not as nice as what I live in now.
3. Move in with 2 roommates that I know are getting a place in June that have invited me to jump in on the deal.
4. Stay at home and have money to go on vacations all the time.
I love being in tropical places. I know one day I will move to one. If I had the willpower to leave behind what I have here for me now, I'd start looking for a job out in the Bahamas or Puerto Rico now. The hurricanes that hit there every year scare me a bit, but if I found a place in Key West or something, I could always just move inland to Florida to weather the storm. Or if it looks really bad, fly back to New Orleans or something. Just being near the ocean, it's soothing to me. California, that was my fave part, the beaches near the ocean. But the Pacific is cold, and the Atlantic is warm. I'd much rather live near the equator where it is always warm and the ocean is a beautiful blue-green/turquoise. I'll learn Spanish and allow it to become my first language in those areas. I really did start to pick up on it the short time I was out there, even with no background in it.
But aside all that, life has been treating my good. My boy Myles flew me out to Puerto Rico over the weekend. We had a blast. I slept about a cummulative of 8 hours from 6AM Thursday to 11:30PM Sunday. I had a great time though. I uploaded all the pictures from the trip at home, I just need to put them up in photobucket or something where I can post some of them in here.
Details from the trip
Dawn stayed up all Thursday night with me and brought me to the airport for 4AM. My girl, I love her so much. She is too good to me sometimes. I was drunken getting on the plane and after a layover in Miami, got to Puerto Rico about 2PM their time. Myles picked me up and we went straight to the mall. The mall was so big...like 3 floors high. And they had art and modern deco all through it. After that, we went and picked up alcohol and went to the hotel. This bitch was sooo nice. It was the Wyndham Cononado. We had a room on the club floor, right below the penthouses. The room had this amazing ocean view. I spent my first hour sitting out there watching the emerald waves rolling in and crashing over the rocks. Finally, I went inside, took a shower, and we went and got some steak at the resturant across the street. Patrick and Damal came and met up with us, we went back up to the room, changed, and we went and hit downtown San Juan and all kinds of different clubs and bars. It was a blast. By this point, I had drank a bottle of wine and 5 redbull and vodkas. We went back to the hotel, and which point I wanted to go downstairs and watch the waves roll in because the tide was up and it was absolutely gorgeous. So I polished off another bottle of wine, and finally had some breakfast and hit the bed about 6AM.
3 hours later, I woke up still drunk, got in the shower, and we got dressed and went to hit the outlets. Bought all kinds of designer name brand stuff at a fraction of the cost that you would pay in the states. We got a bite to eat (of which I could eat very little still having some much alcohol in my system) and went back to the hotel to get ready for the concert. Usher concert was great. I've never been to anything more than a hard rock/alternative/punk/ska concert before. But being drunk and well into a bottle of wine again, I loved every minute of it. He put on an amazing show. Beyonce, Ludacris, Fat Joe, and a few others all made guest appearances. Showtime taped the whole thing LIVE and the camera man came up to me at least 5 times and closed up on me and my crew. Oh yeah, at this point we were with Dale and his girlfriend (can't remember her name) and we were second row from the stage. After the show, we went out to a few clubs, before hitting up some breakfast, at which point Myles said I was stumbling drunk. I remember everything perfectly fine, and don't remember being that drunk, but it's all good. We got about 5 hours of sleep (over slept), then work up, packed up, and went to the beach. It was sooooo beautiful. I wish I had had more time to go swimming and everything, but I didn't have swim shoes and prob would have stepped on the coral and slashed my foot open. After taking in the scenery, we drove the scenic route seeing the public beach and Fort Cristobal. Then we went to downtown San Juan and bought a replica rolex for my brother. At that point, it was time for me to go back to the airport and come home. Had the best Pina Coloda ever while I was there. It was made from fresh fruit and all. It was great.
But alas, I am home. I had such a great time, and I keep thinking about Damal telling me how much I didn't get to see and how I had to come back, or move there even. That there is so mcuh more that I would love.
Anyways, that's it for now. Back to the usual bump and grind of work.
Oh wait, Reese and Nestle made 1 year old yesterday. My babies. Love them sooooo much. :)
