Birthday weekend was good... Saturday afternoon consisted of crepes and chocolate-based alcoholic beverages at Juliette & Chocolat, then the Canadiens/Predators game in the evening, where we were sitting right between Jordan Tootoo's uncle and Steve Sullivan's dad (had a good time with them, even though they were related to players on the opposing team!) and Segafredo's after that, where I had their signature drink, which was so good I could have slurped it all down in one shot. We had a quiet spot in a corner, but then a group of about 15 loud Italians from Toronto walked in and well, they made a lot of noise. First thing the women did was come over and say "Guys we're sorry if we get too loud. But you can join us if you want to!" They also broke a glass and tried to blame it on us, which was funny. And didn't work.

Sunday was just family dinner stuff. Had the best birthday cake to date - oreo cheesecake! Homemade. De-fucking-licious. Got a few things, namely DVDs (Shrek the Third, Ratatouille, Spider-Man 3) a white and black radio alarm clock (really needed a new one), a Swarovski toucan (not that I collect those things, but it's been my favourite piece for a long time), a hand-painted lightswitch cover, some cool-shaped snack bowl things, and moneys. My brother and my sister-in-law also got me the best card ever - Fred Flintstone bowling on the front, and when you open it, it plays the sound of him in action (tippy-toe walk, swing, throw, bounce on the lane, and strike. Hah.) I kept opening and closing it over and over just to hear it.

Aside from tickets to the Habs game, the boy also got me a DVD (The Police - Synchronicity Concert), a cow ornament with dangling legs (which I can't stop giggling at), a picture frame (with our favourite picture of us in it - cheesy moment!), and this stuff:

The glasses have a leopard standing on the bottom around the stem, and the bottle is not only covered in leopard print, it's also FUZZY! And it has ubuntu beads handing on the neck. On the back it says: "The ubuntu beads on the neck of the bottle are a symbol of the spirit in which Wild Africa cream is created. Ubuntu embraces the African tradition of goodwill and sharing between people." Pretty neat. I didn't try it yet, but even if the stuff sucked it would still be awesome just because of the packaging and the glasses it comes with. Makes for good decoration even after it's finished, too.

Seriously now, it's been snowing NON STOP since last night. Schools were closed today and work places let employees leave early, because roads are horrible and you can't see shit. I had to walk in the middle of the street because the snow on the sidewalk was up to my knees. My area is always the last to be cleaned. And to think, last year we got absolutely NO snow at all until the day after Christmas. I was hoping it would hold out this year too, at least until it got closer to Christmas time.

It did make for cool waves on the roof of the house, although I wouldn't want to be walking under it when it all falls down...

And the car in the driveway is almost completely hidden.

(Blurriness caused by me shivering.)

Conclusion: FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, STOP SNOWING ALREADY!
