The guy that did it is from SF (hanging head in shame for my town).
This guy should be really happy that those at Burning Man don't follow the old ways; otherwise, he'd be working to rebuild it and *then* watching the burn from the inside out! Talk about justice!
On the other hand, it's too bad they couldn't have scheduled the burn for the night of the eclipse, THAT would have been cool... Maybe there will be a burn night in the future some year on a full eclipse... I wonder if that was what the guy was going for because the arson fire was set during the eclipse, between 2 and 3 a.m. local time. Mmmmm... still bad man!!! to take the fun away from the other 25,000 people arriving before Saturday.
And lastely, this is something Zach will be going to next year with R and I will probably NEVER attend. Temperature over 80 degrees no longer agrees with me and I was raised (till the age of 10) in blowing sand in the Mojave Desert... done had enuf of that!
