So one of the things that has helped me with my depression fogs in the past is the elimination of sugar and refined flour. Yesterday I had barely any at all, and I definitely felt much more clear and energetic. Unfortunately, I also felt rather homicidal; sugar detox is not fun. Around bedtime I decided to have a bowl of cereal. It was like kryptonite - within minutes I was completely fogged and exhausted. Okay, point taken.
Unfortunately, sugar is in everything. I am not pleased. But I AM willing to treat sugar like the narcotic it is for me. How lame is that? Some people get high, some people drink, I have a cupcake.
Sigh.
Thank goodness I know how to bake with agave & xylitol...here's hoping those don't trigger me too.
