[ He already knows of the next assignment, that Japan isn't as close to the future as he had hoped. Instead it's moving from Italy off to Russia, but then again, he wasn't entirely sure it would be Chrome accompanying him. The thought alone makes his shoulders tense, jaw set. The mere thought of that man, even still-

But it wasn't him here, was it? Quite the opposite. A completely different person. There were aspects of her that he could see him in, but it wasn't enough for the boundaries to blur between them. Rather, it was just a bit of a reminder, occasional, and seared over the edge of his nerves in the worst way.
