ok, heres some things to remember...

emo kids dont ever smile. you smile, you are able to laugh too, you wont be seen as an emo kid. also, friends listen to your problems and try to help, or just be an ear or a shoulder or whatnot, and then you return the favor, and its all equal and good. your not being emo! this is one of the hardest stages of life people say. so we all are going to come up with problems.

secondly, teachers love to help. i have felt bad asking a teacher for help when it is obvious that i was sleeping, or doing other hw instead of paying attention to the lecture, aka math class. bad teachers say you should have been paying attention. good teachers help you out. luckily i have had good teachers and they are willing to reexplain things. dont feel bad. if no one asked any questions, what would the teachers have to do? they would be bored out of their mind! anyways, sometimes a teacher respects you more and likes you more because you know when to ask for help, and ask for help. that shows that you are taking control of your education and want to learn. through a lecture you cant teach everyone, so a teacher practically has to expect that some students will be confused or need help. a student succeeding is happiness to a teacher (a good teacher at least).
oh and if your teacher doesnt want to help you, find some other teacher who teaches the same subject, they would help you. and if they wont, might want to find a friend to ask if they know any good teachers to go to for help.
every year in math and last year in fizzix i always felt bad for asking help in that subject due to sleeping in class and not understanding a thing about the lesson, but the teachers didnt really care, they cared that i actually came for help and learned the lesson.

and worrying about things excessively= bad, you end up not having fun, and things tend to go wrong then.
so loosen up, forget about worrying (expecially at prom and other fun activies like all night party) and have fun! what happens will happen, and you will be stronger for it, and there is no use in trying to stop the inevitable.

theres my long words of advice. hope it helps. =D
