My birthday is Saturday. I'm not really looking forward to it. It's difficult when your birthday is this late in the year, especially where mine falls which is on or around Thanksgiving and also incredibly close to finals. This makes planning things difficult. It's not so much that I make a big deal out of my birthday, because really I don't. If I do something it's usually pretty low key. A couple friends getting coming over to hang out and make a cake (or watch a movie, or just go out to dinner or something) with me is a pretty typical (or was) birthday for me and I told my mom a long time ago no to bother with birthday cakes and stuff when we celebrated my birthday and just to celebrate it with the family on Thanksgiving and just stick some candles in a pumpkin pie and be done with it.

It's more that I don't forget my friends birthdays and if they do something for theirs I make sure to be there and get them/make them something awesome that will actually be useful/meaningful to them, but then when mine comes around most of them forget it's my birthday at all. And like I said, I really never have expected the same sort of treatment from them. I don't expect people to be as ridiculous as I am when it comes to things like that, but a "Happy Birthday Christina!" would be nice.

IDK. I guess I'll see how it goes this year.
