I found out that my horrid next-door neighbor (I live in a duplex house) is moving! This is the woman who is always driving us crazy with the thumping bass on her stereo, and who always leaves the gate open so my baby can run out into the street -- and I think she's done it MORE since we asked her not to. She was letting the (forbidden) dog she was keeping at her house poop all over my side of the yard, she doesn't mow her grass, and her kid always leaves trash in my yard and never picks it up. Our landlady called to say that this neighbor-from-hell has just bought a house and will be out of here at the end of this month! YAY!!! The landlady said she hopes to have her place cleaned and repainted and ready to rent by September 1st -- meaning no neighbors at all for a month! WHEE! I really hope whatever neighbors we get after her will be quiet and just NOT SUCK. No matter how nice I was to this lady, she was always bitchy and mean with me. It would be great to have a neighbor who's actually FRIENDLY. My landlady doesn't have anyone in mind to rent to, which means I'm at the mercy of random strangers looking for a home. I hope someone good comes along. :(
