I just watched
Ma Vie En Rose. OMG I cried so hard. It was definitely 89 minutes well spent. If you haven't seen it, you might think about watching it. It was a French film with subtitles. It won ALL sorts of awards including Golden Globe.
It's basically a film about a 7-year-old boy, Ludovic, who believes he is truly a girl. His cross-dressing and insistence that God simply made a mistake on his chromosomes turns people against him and his family, and they seem to snap from the pressure. Little Ludovic was so precious, and had the sweetest little smile. He was so innocent and tried so hard to please everyone but was dealing with all sorts of conflicting messages. I was torn apart over the things that happened to him in this movie. It was realistic. It ended well though. You know I must have my happy endings. :)
