KIDS WHO CAN'T WAIT FOR MONDAYS
In the Martin County School District in Kentucky, the kids have no food at home.
The only food they have is what their schools provide during the week. The children don't eat on weekends.
Jean Schmidt, the parent liaison, organized a "backpack ministry" with co-workers and church friends. They fill backpacks with food for needy kids to take home for the weekend. The kids bring back the empty backpacks on Mondays.
They need help. Please send a box of energy or cereal bars to:

They would also appreciate any of the following:
Canned tuna, salmon or meat, cheese crackers, Slim Jims beef jerky, peanut butter crackers, juice bags and boxes, pudding cups and fruit cups, raisins, canned pasta, raisins and peanuts.
If anyone is able and feels inclined to help, it certainly wouldn't go amiss.
