AUGH
I hope I NEVER AGAIN hear Orlando's hair referred to in a fic as a "riot of curls." NEVER AGAIN, people. It was written that way in 5 of the last 7 fics I read, and I am seriously ready to start slapping people if our fandom doesn't come up with a new way to describe his hair. Who the hell started that anyway?
We're intelligent, creative women. I am CONFIDENT that you can all come up with SOME OTHER WAY to describe his hair. Really and truly. Give me a break here. Honestly, you can think of a new phrase. Say profusion. Say mop. Say wayward mass. Say SOMETHING else.
Maybe you could even respond to this post with all your ideas for new ways to describe his hair that do not involve riots of any sort. Then everyone who reads it and says, "Well, what else am I supposed to call it?" will have a list to pick from and will save me from having to gouge my eyes out.
