Climbing the bell curve
I can definitely see things gaining steam once again. It is interesting how through all of the ups and downs of life, and all the different attitudes that may hold sway over my direction in life... I can impose these meta-goals. It was ok to play all those video games last year and not do much... it was a year of adjustment.
This year, has been a year of growing and expanding out, and it really reminds me of high school, in that though there was never any specific decision to beef up my work load, I have gradually picked up on opportunities that have come my way (first just playing IM's, now also as an IM rep and member of the house committee, and also working on the Friends of Harvard Track website). Even with my occasional frustrations with running, I am still doing well with that, and also am steadily improving in school. I'm sure things will not always be smooth sailing and there will be time for doubt and insanity, but I maintain a faith in being able to stick to this broader patterning of cycling responsibility. I will do my time, put my head down and work, and by and large I will enjoy it.
