Fiction

Steven Dietz's Fiction was a truly excellent play, probably the best I've seen at McCarter Theatre for the years I've been a subscriber. Mom, Gail and I had a fantastic time Saturday night.

It was well-wrought and intricate with witty, fast-moving dialogue which treated even the most serious of subjects with a wry humor. The subject of journalling/writing was, of course, an interest of mine, but it was the craftsmanship that went into the dialogue that left me wanting to read the rest of Dietz's works. He really has a tremendous talent. He's more fun even than Noel Coward, I daresay.

You can read more about the play here.
