At the Top of the World, Or Nearly Anyway

Greetings from Alaska everyone. It'll be hard to keep in touch with anyone from up here for quite afew reasons. First of all, I now live ina very remote region, my cell phone does not work up here, but I will be getting a labtop computer soon, so I may be able to updated my situations via the internet. Second of all I go out to sea all the time from anytime from 3 days to two weeks. Next, it's very VERY beautiful up here and I plan on doing a lot of outdoors stuff, therefor, I won't really have much time to talk to anybody back home. Finally, I realize that up here I can easily become a hermit, it isn't hard at all. Though me and my social self won't let me. The first day that I was here, I met some incredible people that invited me to a barbecue. I had a great time and made some local friends within the first 9 hours I'd been here.My job is wonderful. I groove to my music and cook all day. It doesn't get much better than that. My crew is awesome, everyone is really wonderful and friendly. They love my cooking already. I've gotten plenty of compliments and feel as if I am more than enough of a suitable replacement for the cook that is leaving Monday. It is so beautiful here. Which leads me to something else. I am seriously considering not coming back ever again. I've only been here a few days and I've completely fallen in love with the area. it isn't as bad as I thought having sun for 20 hours of the day, instead it's really pleasant. . .winter might be a drag though. My ship is great, almost brand new, not too big with a very small crew. The town that we make berth in is wonderful. It is a very small, yet very charming town. I wish I could tell you all more about it, but there's so much I need to get done today. So, for now, I hope you all are living joyously, and I shall keep you as up to date as i can on what's going on. In fact, I'm going to try to get pictures online for you all too, so you can witness the beauty that I see every day.

Ciao
