Whoo! Templar Tabbard!

Apr 30, 2006 02:14

Today, after a very brief but productive trip to the library I met up with a postexamed Theresa, then James, V' and Toni, then in town with Loz and ambled into a Fran and Tom(wT) and after some food we went fabric hunting (I recognise the Staff of Boyes by sight now, it's getting worrying). Mainly, but also for myself 2 meters of white fabrics (for a £5) to make a Templar tabard out off

Me and T' then headed onto Rhys and Co's where Louis and T started making the banner.
We managed to get it pinned out, alas when actually starting to sew it, we realised it would be just so damn easier with a sewing machine.
Still its already looking awesome.

With help of T' we soon turned two meters of white cloth into simple but awesome looking kit. I intended to cut it down to a very thin, over armour tabard with a black chalice insignia (for Order of the Ebon Chalice), but having it uncut as full knightly robes just looks great.
Now sewing on a pair of Black Chalice, which is going a bit erratically due to me being something of a cripple when it comes to sewing. However it does look theoretically very cool, and I've got the cardboard chalice template should anyone else want to make one.
(Loz, looking at you)
Whoo! Varas is going to look so Templar-Tastic next event.
Only trouble is whether how to wear my armour with it, and whether to keep my sex-jawa robes, or just pass them onto Trill.

Also part II of South Park cartoon Wars rocks.
