For a couple weeks, I'd pass by a billboard with a dude's face on it that read, "Jennifer, will you marry me?"
Then, one day, the ad was half-painted over with a Helzberg diamond ad that said "Some guys propose by billboard. For normal guys, there's Helzberg."
First, I really hate diamond rings, and their association with marriage in this country. They're a meaningless waste of money. Of course, this is merely my opinion, but trust me, I'm right.
Second, I thought the Helzberg ad was kinda funny, albeit a slap in the face to billboard dude. But turns out it was a viral marketing campaign to begin with:
