Now that I've written this, I realize that it's almost a squick for me. However, Pyro/Magneto remains my current OTP of doom.

Other than that I'm just not sure what to say. It was lovely, but in an icky way. Mainly because I see Ian McKellen as being old enough to be my grandfather, and that just isn't... Well, you know.
But still, I read it all, and I enjoyed it, so that must mean something:> I'm taking it to mean that it's good, and muchly so:>

“We could be great,� John finished. That kind of says it all, although not really, because what's so great about this story is the characterizations-- /beautiful/, and completely spot on. John and Magneto work together because one is what the other is not, although it's a bizarre, dark complementing, because while Erik and Charles complement each other in that "making the other person whole" way, John and Erik fill in each other's bad spots. John is such, /such/ the callow youth-- "he did not like it very much" for the wine, my god, he just has no, no idea what he's getting into at all ( ... )
