Easter today and I didn't go home. Big rugby tournament yesterday that I did go to. My father and sister showed up at my tournament yesterday at 12:30 - my game ended at 12. They gave me an easter basket, stayed around for five minutes, said goodbye, walked over to the lacrosse game, watched for five minutes, and left. it was interesting. and for this they drove 45 minutes. one might think that they'd come to see my game, or stick around for a little bit, but no. The easter basket contained some interesting things: jelly beans, $20, a yellow mug, some peeps, and a book. The book is called Kids Talk About Heaven: How You Get There, And How You Don't. So just in case I didn't get the message from the "Jesus is good" e-mails she sends me, I can now have a book about heaven. Yippee. Some excerpts from the book:
"there are all kinds of bad things you can't do if you want to get into heaven. Sometimes you don't even know that you're doing them." - Carole
"If you're Christian you go to one part of Heaven and if you're Jewish you got to annother. It's really the same place but I guess the food is different." - David (mildly anti-semitic, but I suppose it's okay for the good of heaven, right?)
"I want to be invisible and come back and see all the people I know and listen to what they say and make them do things I want them to do and get even too; I guess they don't want you to do that though do they?" - Shalequa
"You go to hell for sinning. A lot of stuff you like to do is sinning so you got to be very careful." - Bill
"I want to get to meet Abraham Lincoln but not if he is so old that he has lost his mind and can't even talk like my great grandmother." - Miles
"What you get in heaven is salvation. That's something you've got to have." - Brittany
