This is me bragging
Tonight I got a private showing at the largest observatory in New York. They were taking pictures of the sky where the newest planetoid, Eris, is, but they swung it over to the Andromeda Galaxy. I got to actually look through the eyepiece and see it. I know it makes me a geek (but we knew that already), but this REALLY was one of my life goals - to see M31. It was SO SO SO cool!
I even got a
printed out. It didn't scan well, but the print-out isn't that bad. You can even see, on the upper right hand side, the slightly darker part is one of the arms of the galaxy. Isn't that freaking amazing!? I got to see it, and I'm so excited by it!
