So, having run the gauntlet of alarming relatives, maudlin ex-lovers and ridiculous friends, Mordred eventually turns up at Cywyllog's door with two oddly-dressed children in tow.

It opens after a moment, and forgive the double take when she sees who it is. "You have returned." And then she peers around him and down a ways. "And you have brought guests with you."

"They brought themselves," wryly.

[thesunbird]

Telemakos offers his very most winning smile. "Hello, woyzaro! We are honoured," and bows, getting on the floor as usual to do so.

Athena snatches at his hair so she doesn't fall off, clinging with both hands.

[cywyllog]

"So I see." Cywyllog blinks at Mordred a few times and then offers the children a hesitant, but genuine smile. "Hello. Would you like to come inside?"

[thesunbird]

"Thank you," he says, looking up a little from the floor.

[illgotten]

"All right, all right." Mordred leans down to nudge him. "Telemakos, Athena, Lady Cywyllog." You thought British accents were bad before, kids.

[cywyllog]

"Noswaith dda."

Cywyllog would point out that her accent is not British, it's Welsh. She would also point out that Orcadians are far more difficult to understand than she is. So there.

She steps aside to let all three of them in. "Are they lost?" That is, naturally, to Mordred.

Not if you're a Viking! :D

He shrugs. "Aren't we all?"

[thesunbird]

Telemakos gives Mordred a very Patient look as he gets to his feet and comes in. "He isn't our father, but his mother is our grandmother."

[cywyllog]

"That is not entirely what I meant," she answers her husband dryly. Of course, the boy gets her attention shortly after that.

"Is she." And that, Telemakos, is all you're going to get Cywyllog to say on the subject of Mordred's mother.

Mordred puts a hand to his forehead for a moment. "Right. Something like that. How have you been?"

[thesunbird]

Telemakos sits on her floor in a convenient spot, and gently takes Athena off his shoulder into his lap.

[cywyllog]

"Well enough." He wasn't really expecting any other answer, was he?

Then, "Melou is here. Have you seen him?"

[illgotten]

A deep breath. "I have."

[thesunbird]

"Who's Melou?" Telemakos interjects. "Is he your other son? Is he older? I didn't know he came."
